In battle, you will be able to switch your character at any time as you take on hoards of enemies and iconic bosses. Much like the original game, Diamond Records Revival allows you to create a team of up to three characters to bring to various levels and challenges. What we hope to achieve with this project is to not only let old DR players relive their favorite moments of the original game, but also bring a fun gameplay experience to newcomers who like JoJo! Gameplay In addition to paying tribute to a game we as a team used to enjoy, this project also serves as a love letter to the JJBA franchise as a whole.
While it isn't an exact recreation of the original game, we've given the gameplay our own spin to fit the PC platform. The Diamond Records Revival project is being built from the ground up and aims to create a new beat em' up experience in spirit of the original JoJo DR. However, in November 2019, Bandai Namco terminated service for the game and permanently shut the servers down, leaving the game unplayable. The game featured numerous characters from parts 1-5 of the JJBA franchise, allowing you to take them into beat em' up or turn-based RPG levels in teams of three. Between battles in the story mode, you'll also be able to watch anime scenes that'll tell you part of the saga's official story. However, as you complete missions in story mode, you can add tons of other characters to your collection, which you can use during any battle. When you start playing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Diamond Records Reversal, you'll only have a handful of characters available. You'll have to learn how to use the best skills at the right times in order to win even the most difficult battles. Each character has its own unique skills.
